I have wanted to try my hand at glass for the past few years. This weekend I got my chance when I took a glass bead making class at the Eugene Glass School (www.eugeneglassschool.org). I had a blast and have to be careful not to become swept away with this addictive art form. Here are a few of my first attempts. Of course, now I need to find out how to take decent pictures of these things.
My name is Don Carson and I am an illustrator and designer working in the worlds of theme park, theatrical, and computer game design. Jumping around in these disciplines has given me some unique insights into the differences and similarities of each form of entertainment. I like beads. They are shiny and have pretty colors.
Hey Don, next time you're in Italy, make sure you get to Morano (off Venice) It's a dream come true to any bead connoisseur.
